Claire Forlani Instagram – I`m Claire Forlani, ambassador for the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease. As we live through these unsettling times, we are also seeing some extraordinary efforts to prevent, treat and eventually cure #COVID19. Today I want to briefly say something about another infectious disease ā€“ tuberculosis.. Today is World TB Day. TB continues to kill some 1.6 million people a year. And it is mainly the poor and marginalised who are affected. Lat year I was honoured to visit an extraordinary group of women working to prevent TB in their own neighbourhoods in Malakpet slum community outside Hyderabad in India. These women are true warriors, an inspiration to all of us. The healthy futures of the children in the community are largely in their hands. Letā€™s keep those beaming smiles on the faces! TB can be prevented, it just needs the political will and governments with a heart. We lost one of the greatest acting talents today . So sorry for his family , friends and fans and I am one of the fans . He was one of the BEST actors and heā€™s left us with so many beautiful , funny , heartbreaking and brilliant performances We thank you Irrfan ,may you RIP šŸ™šŸ’”šŸ™
