I love this movie! This to me is the perfect, peak @ikamalhaasan sir movie. Pulp, commercial ,gloriously 80’s. I love everything about it, the fonts ( the tall and short ‘Kamal’),the title credits,the music (oh,that music!) the costumes, the songs and dances, the fx! I started watching it to take screengrabs and couldn’t stop. This movie made me laugh,cry, and still wonder after all these years how they achieved the effects without traditional CG. That music still moves me after being parodied so much , I bet you’ll hear it when you see these images, that’s the power of Raja sirs score in this one! This movie makes me sentimental for the days when I remember watching it on video cassette. I can’t wait to show my daughter this movie when she’s old enough and see her reaction to it! Funnily enough this is one of the earliest movies I remember where I started to mimic what I saw on screen.
