Michelle Dewberry Instagram – “You can now visit a loved one”, they said. After months of lockdown, I didn’t need asking twice! I couldn’t get over to Hull to see my Mum quick enough! Sadly, no sooner had I arrived, my waters unexpectedly broke, *very, very* prematurely at just 28 weeks (this is called PPROM). Que me immediately being admitted to the nearest hospital. What followed next was pretty horrendous I’m not gonna lie and traumatic, to put it mildly.😔

Over a week later, I haven’t moved and that hospital has become my current home – looks like I won’t be going anywhere for a while. No visitors are allowed, at all-no exceptions-because of Covid so it’s just been me and my bump. Every day that passes, I hope I manage to keep baby inside me so growth can continue. Each morning I wake up, I feel grateful that we got through another day. 🙏🏻

This definitely was NOT the pregnancy journey that I envisaged for myself (and definitely not what pregnancy looks like on Instagram) and I’d love for it to be different but it is, what it is. I’m in a very positive mindset and I’m a very strong woman. I believe my bubba will take after me and be a little fighter too. 💪🏻

Not everything in life is straightforward and not everything goes to plan. Ps – while personal, I’ve shared this update because this topic isn’t understood enough and being confronted with it out of the blue, is deeply scary, as I can certainly now testify. It helps to know others have gone through it and that you’re not alone xx
