Throwback to when hugging was allowed. ❤️This is Diane, or DiDi as I call her. She is a fantastic lady who loves with her whole heart (and more), gives the best gifts, and inherently knows how to be perfect (it’s a French thing). It’s her birthday on Monday and even with all the presents we’re sending and the daylong FaceTime champagne party we’re planning, it’s not going to be the party she deserves, but she’s still happy. I met @paulmvincent about 10 years ago before he and his brother opened Altus, an incredible community of doctors, trainers, nutritionists, teachers, and gurus (my definition). But these people were more than that, they were amazing friends too! Every Saturday morning we did a group workout/adventure, from 5-hour-long waterfall hikes in the Santa Monica Mountains to beach workouts or stand-up paddle boarding around the Malibu pier. We worked hard together and supported each other. As life went on, we parted ways, but I have always missed that community. Well, these times have brought some happy surprises along with them, and I’m happy to say I have reconnected with Paul. We had a nice chat about the strangeness of these times and how stress and anxiety seem to linger around, waiting for a moment to creep in. I know I think I’m fine most of the time, but then one little thing will leave me feeling hopeless. It’s now that positive thinking and meditation can be more helpful than ever before. With his facility shut down for the time being, Paul has found another way to help not just his clients, but anyone who wants to tune in. I stumbled upon another session he did last week and was amazed at the energy and hope I was left with afterwards. This is a free broadcast, so tune in if you can.
