Jack DeJohnette Instagram – We lost one of our master drummers, Charlie Persip. His history says it all. I enjoyed his playing so much that I hired him for a piano trio gig I did in Greenwich Village back in the day, I think the club was called Lush Life, Eddie Gomez on bass. We had a great time and a lot of fun. He really gave back to the community, and was a respected educator. In gratitude, RIP. -Jack
