Jack DeJohnette Instagram – I would like to express my deep appreciation for the heartwarming birthday wishes from everyone, I have been really touched by what people have said. This period for me has been a time of deep reflection of who I am becoming as a person outside of music. Being home this long without working has given me that opportunity. Self reflection can be tough and am looking at things in myself that I have deep regrets about. This period is giving me the opportunity to hopefully grow and change the things I don’t like about myself and become a better person who has something positive to contribute to this world besides music. Don’t get me wrong, I am truly grateful for all music has given to me, absolutely no regrets. This is the time of changes, many choices are being made now, we can only trust that the future will become a better place for all. —Jack
