Michael Bearden Instagram – I was going to post another photo of me and MJ today (I’ve posted this one before) but, something I heard @realchriswebber say amidst the @nba boycott resonated with me. He said, you can’t be it until you see it! ⠀ As a young black boy growing up on the south side of Chicago, it was important for me to see someone that looked like me doing what I aspired to do. Image matters so much! ⠀ There’s no possible way I could’ve known I’d grow up to work with one who inspired me. How could I?⠀ I do know that I can help inspire others who look like me, to rise into their own greatness! ⠀ I miss MJ! Just the convos alone were deep. But, I’m also grateful for the time I did have with him while he was here on this plane. He was an inspiration to many. And,still inspiring. ⠀ HBD🎉 dude. Michael Bearden Instagram – HBD🎉🎉 to Barack! As with all my photos, there’s a longer story behind them. (Yes I’m writing the book. Yes, this story will be in it.☺️)⠀ ⠀ The short version is, secret service came to me and said, “the President and First Lady would like to speak to you!” ⠀ ⠀ So they take me back to the private area. I had to wait for B to finish his speech. When they came back to the area, Meesh ran over to me and hugged me! The cool thing about it was, I could see B over her shoulder just waiting patiently and smiling. So comfortable in his skin!⠀ ⠀ He and I embraced and we all just started chatting about everything! After what seemed like a long time, secret service came over in a hurried manner and told the President, “Sir! We have to take Mr. Bearden to the stage now! ⠀ ⠀ Barack looked at them and said, “the show can’t start without the music director! He’s right here!” As if to say in a nice way, don’t rush me! Lol 😆 it was so gangsta! ⠀ ⠀ We took some official photos and then I went to stage. (There’s much more)⠀ ⠀ I couldn’t have been more proud of these two!! I know how hard they worked to ascend. ⠀ ⠀ Happy Birthday🎉🎉 @barackobama and many more. (Look at those smiles ☺️)
