Gloria Steinem Instagram – MICHIGANDERS, YOUR VOTE CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE!  When I was a child, my family lived in southern Michigan, so I know first-hand the kindness, sense of justice and community of people in this state.  Yet now we are facing an administration in Washington, and a man in the White House, with no understanding of the meaning of those words. This is largely because we ourselves have forgotten that democracy, like a tree, grows from the bottom up, not the top down. It doesn’t start in Washington. It starts with us. Your vote can restore kindness and justice to Michigan – and to Washington Your vote can make the difference between holding polluters accountable and loosening restrictions even more, thus making children, families and workers more vulnerable to the dangers of PFAS (polyfluoroalkyl substances).
