One year ago. Waiting to shoot my last scene. Waiting to walk me home. (Hi Ross.) Toronto, Ontario
So many hilarious comments in my stories, that I’m gonna leave this here with my pitch for the last quarter. Swipe.
Also leaning into my quarandream of appearing to be bffs with @reesewitherspoon.
I can’t claim to have made this. All thanks to @sarahraffertypics for lightening the mood.
What month are you?

Goodnight summer when they 12 and 8.
Thank you for the lessons not yet learned but heartily begun. Thank you for the perspective that the compulsory distance offered, the car conversations born of many many miles logged, and the often heart breaking news consumed. Thank you for the marvels we may never have sought under different circumstances, but found magically within “driving distance” from home. Thank you for the gifts of this unique summer, especially the ones that we may only recognize with time. Arches National Park

Like so many, I’ve spent the last few days reading through incredibly moving personal tributes to #ChadwickBoseman from his friends, colleagues, fans and the press. I’ve rewatched videos of speeches and personal appearances. I marveled and mourned as I watched 42 and Get on Up—-grateful that his work will live forever, saddened by the thought of what work was yet to come. I found myself collectively mourning with our community for a man I never knew personally but like everyone, admired whole heartedly. So I’m going to leave one of the excerpts I’ve watched multiple times right here. With thanks to @iamginatorres and @violadavis for posting, and to the magic of YouTube for having the whole speech available at the ready, which I highly recommend.
It feels like the universe in 2020 is unleashing every effort to wake us up. To tell us to rise to the occasion of the blessing and responsibility of our very existence. To lean into our #humanity, #empathy, #purpose. It feels like this additional gut punch must change us for the better.
Moving here. (I’ll be the crazy lady shouting Viola’s Willow Cabin speech to the reverberate hills every Tuesday at 7 pm). Solid apocalypse plan? Snake River Jackson Hole Wyoming

“Though I may not be here with you, I urge you to answer the highest calling of your heart and stand up for what you truly believe. In my life I have done all I can to demonstrate that the way of peace, the way of love and nonviolence is the more excellent way. Now it is your turn to let freedom ring.
When historians pick up their pens to write the story of the 21st century, let them say that it was your generation who laid down the heavy burdens of hate at last and that peace finally triumphed over violence, aggression and war. So I say to you, walk with the wind, brothers and sisters, and let the spirit of peace and the power of everlasting love be your guide.” John Lewis.

Hey! Today is the 55th anniversary of the passage of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) of 1965, that prohibited racial discrimination in voting. In 2013 the Supreme Court gutted key provisions that helped to protect voters in states with a history of discrimination, ushering in a new wave of voter suppression efforts.
Many of us are looking for ways to honor the legacy of @repjohnlewis.
