This morning I got a glimpse of my sister Camilla on TV. She has always looked after me and as the Director General of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (Folkehelseinstituttet) she’s now looking after us all. I am proud to be her brother and to follow her advice by washing my hands and keeping distance from others. Facsimile: TV 2

The bust of Thorvald, my father, in Kirkenes, Norway, was unveiled in 2006, in appreciation of his efforts on the Barents cooperation. As Norway’s then Minister of Foreign Affairs, he initiated the cooperation in the spirit that prevailed at the end of the Cold War. Now it also marks the need for a warmer and more inclusive society through a scarf campaign by The Church City Mission. He would have appreciated it. I recieved this photo from Rune Gjertin Rafaelsen, Mayor of Kirkenes, who also initiated the creation of the bust. It is made by the artist Odin Øystad.

Good to be back in Berlin to meet with EU Defence Ministers and to discuss common concerns including #Belarus. It is for the people of Belarus to determine their own future. @nato Allies support a sovereign and independent Belarus.
