Aparnaa Bajpai Instagram – I have learnt from small yoga schools to renowned yoga teachers. I have studied Hatha to Ashtanga to Iyenger to Vinyasa and to different schools of thoughts within these forms.
And lemme tell you one thing. Every school will have a different way to approach asanas and even a different way to comprehend the sutras.

What I learnt from my beloved Sivananda teacher @yogwithkrishna & from my last visit to @kaivalyadhama , that an Asana is an Asana only when performed slow and held for longer. You don’t push yourself beyond the point of ease and stability.

What I learnt from my favoritest @rameshshetty_yoga_shala within movement is meditation. Go slow just like the breath and with time you’ll master the breath and the Asana.

What I learnt from @iyengaryogaofficial classes, every Body is different and you adjust and align according to different bodies. What your Asana looks like in your body might be very different from mine.

What I learnt from @kashishyoga and @nitin_chotwani Life is too short to be serious, just relax and learn whatever makes sense to you and slowly you’ll find your own path.

What I took back from all these teachings: you can adapt & access yoga with passion and dedication. What you can not do is change the fundamentals & basics of yoga.
Hence: the answer is Yoga Sutras.

Like Buddha said listen to all, study all but find the answer within.

Reading the Sutras is the best Swadhyaya one can practice and the best teacher one can find.

Aparnaa Bajpai Instagram – Are you Emotional or a Victimizer?
Any emotion outside the feeling of pure & unconditional love, is a trick of the mind and the ego.

I believe, if you are capable of feeling emotional for others (without thinking of yourself) you are an emotional person. Whereas if you are often feeling emotional only for yourself, you are a victimizer. Often people get hurt at little things and are called “ very emotional”.

Well, my yogic learning & healing path teaches me otherwise. I have been in the trap of my ego where my hurt or pain has been the focal point in my life. Well it is important to feel the pain but it’s all the more important to understand the pain, it’s patterns and the root cause of it. Which all leads to your mind games and the victim mentality.

I have for myself redefined what emotional means.
An emotional person for me isn’t the one who gets “emotional” “hurt” “cries” for the pain of the self.

An emotional person is someone who gets emotional, feels the pain of the others and empathizes with them as their own.
I don’t want you to agree with me, but it’s definitely a though to ponder over.

PS: this doesn’t mean that your emotions aren’t important. Infact it means the opposite. Your emotions are sooooo important that it leads you to your inner child. It leads you to take care of your emotions & the scarred child. It leads you to love yourself and understand LOVE💚

Love is the purest emotion & anything outside it, is your mind game:) Chandigarh चंडीगढ़
