As you can probably tell by now, I don’t post that much. Mostly because I don’t take photos that much. But I did take this picture on the day I got my Louise haircut for the first time. What a wonderful journey I was just embarking on. Louise was undoubtedly my favorite character that I’ve ever had the privilege to try to figure out. Her two nicknames “Saint Louise” and “Ms. Westinghouse” kind of perfectly encapsulate the complexity of this woman. On one side: serene, collected, and positive. On the other: steely, frigid, and stately. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of playing her and playing with the talented cast and crew of #therightstuffseries . I hope you have all enjoyed the first season. Here’s hoping we are honored with another opportunity to continue to tell these fascinating people’s stories.

Challenge accepted. When I was younger, I didn’t want to be a girl. I thought being female meant that I was limited in what I could do, how high I could climb, how powerful I could ultimately be. I hated the idea that women were different from men and tried to prove to myself and society that I was the exception. Now that I’m an adult steering the ship of my own life, I realize that women are indeed different from men, and the world is better for that difference. I am not limited. I, and every other woman, possess knowledge and strength and skills men never will, and I am grateful to get the chance to bring those uniquely feminine qualities to light for all to see and benefit from.
