What a night. It’s so interesting, whenever I’ve tried to write a post about #cloudsmovie and @justinbaldoni I end up not being able to express what I feel becasue it’s just so big. It’s been a long, bumpy, beautiful journey to get to the moment on Monday night when Clouds premiered in front of over 100 cars in Santa Monica. Having seen Justin pour his ENTIRE heart and soul into the sharing of Zach’s story for so many years now, and then witnessing it being received in this way was incredibly touching (swipe, with sound on, for the #2020’s version of a standing ovation 🥰) I ugly cried so many times.
Justin, You. Are. Magic. I’m in awe of the human and filmmaker you are. You’re such a star, and I mean that in a way that goes far beyond Hollywood talk. Zach, you are all the magic and the miracles on the other side. You made this movie with Justin. We feel you with us so often and are deeply grateful and humbled to have known you. @lsobi , you are one of my favorite women on this planet. I’m in utter awe of you. I deeply thank you and Rob for letting Justin in to your family and your life. Thank you for letting ALL of us in. Thank you for sharing your beautiful son with us. As a mother you have taught me so much without even trying and I am forever grateful.
And thank you to everyone who helped Justin tell this story with so much integrity, heart, and care. You are all so special.

Our Maxwell turned THREE on Sunday. I’ve always heard mothers of sons say that there’s a special bond between a mama and her boy, and I know now what they all talked about. And I know now why they couldn’t describe it. I can’t find the words either but I can feel my heart melt as I’m writing this. Our Maxwell does to life what honey does to tea and what a sunflower does to a garden. He is the sweetest, most joyful, kind and bright little human, and my favorite little broccoli. Happy Birthday Maxwell, our son-shine 🎉

Anybody else really good at creating junk drawers and junk closets?? 🙋♀️ @justinbaldoni and I were struggling to figure out how to make this closet work for us instead of it being forgotten territory where lonely socks mysteriously end up. We had always had a vision of turning it into something beautiful and super functional, which we were finally able to do with @ClosetMaid helping us! We finally have a guest closet where we store clothes, luggage, AMMA Cocoons, and a Rafael head puppet from Jane the Virgin 😳. This is Maiya and Maxwell’s favorite book. It’s written by @meena and is about young @kamalaharris and her sister Maya and how they overcame obstacles and built a playground for their community after they were told they couldn’t.
