Remembering David with great joy and gratitude. He trusted in my crazy ideas as a young photographer and again as a director, even as he challenged all I thought I knew. Our first project tackled loss of faith in the grand narratives, our last explored the mind of a mass shooter. I loved the way he was always ready to address social justice, equality, lgbtq, mental issues, gun control etc. in subtle innovative ways. It was never easy but always extraordinary working with David. And we had plans for much more… Sending my love to Iman and all of David’s family.
