Well,what do I say? Life changed in an instant last night. My little baecub was due next week and decided ‘Hell no, I’m going to come on papa’s birthday and just make that day my own,hold my bottle pa!’ Avira Ruby Kakumanu entered this world on July 5th,2019 and for the rest of my life till I make my way out will cherish this day for being extra special and celebrate our birthdays together! All the cliches are true, a switch goes off in your heart and your eyes start tearing up when you hold your baby for the first time. It’s magical! Thank you @son_emk for carrying this little bun,and bearing all the pain to deliver her safely. I hope we can guide & shepherd her through what life has to offer and come out as better people and hopefully make her world a little better than she found it. #thatsmydaughterinthewater๐ถ #cancerian #crabsgotclaws

2020 knocked a lot of us down and taught some very hard lessons. The year broke me down in many ways and forced me to look back and inside and come to terms with how some things were illusions and momentary even though I thought and wished they were not. Loss of work, of relationships, of life.
But,
It also made me realize what I truy love and I’m grateful for the time I got to spend with my family and my daughter and rebuild on what matters at the end of the day.
The photo on the left is me in 2004-05 , fresh Martin Scorcese and Deniro fan after discovering Taxi driver and trying to ape that character.
The photo on the right is me in December 2020. Creating characters of my own and also rediscovering the roles of father, husband, brother, Uncle and son.
Some things you grow out of, some things you grow into and some things still fit the same.

Got to be styled by @vasuki on a very retro inspired character. Maybe she’ll reveal the styling influences for the character ๐

Feb 14th and 15th are always an introspective time for me. Its my fathers death anniversary and birthday respectively on the two days.
I remember watching movies with him as a child but I never knew till few years ago that he loved movies and wanted to act and tried to convince his parents to let him but that his father didn’t want him to.
So its funny that I went down that path without knowing it was something he wanted to do as well.
Thanks for all your warm wishes the last few days on my performance in #LiveTelecast as #Chinna, the autistic man who just wanted to play with his friends. It was a small role but its gotten more acclaim than some of the bigger ones. And I think K. Sudarshan aka Sandy as his friends called him would be proud.
