We have been on formula for various reasons – one being that the hospital environment post birth has proven too stressful for me to confidently express and a second that we needed to know Lucy Rose’s intake as she wards off systemic jaundice*.
(*At some point in our labour, our blood mixed causing haemolytic disease of the newborn.)
Tomorrow it looks like we are outta this joint and I will begin pumping to try and get Lulu back on the breast (we did have a number of successful goes of colostrum in the first two days).
I will be sharing my breast feeding story with @medela_uk but in the meantime I need all of your tips and pointers to get my flow going.
