Three and a half days of induced labour before Lulu graced us with her presence.
We learned later that the doctors had bets on as to what time I would ask for a cesarean and we saw so many shift changes that we’ve had a stream of staff visitors checking-in on us.
In hindsight I’ve no idea why I didn’t ask for one but what else would my documentary maker hubbie have filmed on Saturday morning if it wasn’t a human coming out into this world from my vagina?!
We also discovered that Sam wouldn’t have been allowed to be with me for the induction period or recovery had Lulu arrived on her due date.
I do not believe I could have made it through without him by my side.
