Nathan Kress Instagram – In the past, I’ve fallen victim to silence. Preferring to stay out of it, for fear of inevitably offending someone, or saying the “wrong thing”, somehow… no matter what I say, or what position I take. But I can’t do it anymore. We witnessed a murder of an unarmed, handcuffed black man caught on tape, at the hands of a person we’re supposed to be able to trust. There’s no way around that. As far as I can tell, there is no “other side of the story”. Not one that justifies such an act of evil. This is horrific, heartless, senseless, and it can’t go on. I am heartened to hear that the officer was just charged and taken in custody, and I hope and pray that it doesn’t end there. Justice must be swift, and this man needs to serve time. I hope that this sets us on the path for real change, and that violence and pain do not beget more violence and pain. Please be kind to each other. #justiceforfloyd
