My Dearest Rosie,
You are 2 years old. How did this happen? Where is time going? I can’t believe the person you have become over this past year. You are a walking (sorry, sprinting), talking, singing, POWERHOUSE of a human being. You are impossibly energetic, as spirited as the day is long, and your infectious personality charms every single person you meet. You still never stop moving, exploring, observing, absorbing. The world is just not enough. You live voraciously… ravenous for adventure, and danger. You are literally fearless. Like, it’s becoming a problem sometimes. You are a giant ham, just like your daddy. Holy moly, do you love Christmas lights. You yell “HALLELUJAH!!!!” whenever we walk through church, and no one taught you to do that, so I’m convinced you might be half angel. You keep getting more beautiful, and I’m starting to get freaked out. You were never much of a cuddler as a baby, but you’re just barely beginning to stop squirming when we hug you, and we are HERE FOR IT. This had been a hard year for our little family. Tough stuff happened. We’ve all done a lot of growing up. You especially! Your strong will and determination have been on full display as you continually recite your favorite word: “no”. You’re learning so much about boundaries, patience, manners, right and wrong. It’s a lot!! You get frustrated. That’s okay. That’s part of it. In the midst of it all, you have displayed understanding and comprehension beyond your years. It’s truly inspiring. But my favorite thing that you have developed this year, my love, is your heart. You have a seemingly endless supply of compassion and empathy for the world around you. You feel things with such authenticity and depth. Trash on the ground breaks your heart. A Pixar character in danger makes you cry out in worry, and your sigh of relief when they’re safe again makes me melt. I believe your social and emotional awareness will be one of your greatest assets as you go out into the world. That, coupled with your courage, your fortitude, and your unbridled energy, will make you a world-changer. I’m sure of it. 2 years in, you sure have changed ours for the better. We love you, dear one.

Heading into the “Eff it” portion of the lockdown like
This week, my first love and I finally parted ways. On our last drive, I looked back on all the memories, cranked up all the best jams from 2010 (lookin’ at you Airplanes, Just the Way You Are, Dynamite, & Find Your Love), and pretended like I was driving Bumblebee one last time with the help of the Transformers soundtrack. I had a smile on my face for every minute.
As sad as it was, it was time. The needs of a questionably dressed teenager have been outweighed by a commuting dad with a bad back 😆 I hope whoever gets her next has as much fun as I did!
G’bye Gracie. Best car I ever had. You’ll be missed ❤

40% of family caregivers are men. 40% is so significant, but why do so few people talk about this? In this premiere episode of Man Enough to Care, presented in partnership with @caringacrossgen, @justinbaldoni, @stillinthegame, @zach.anner, and I come together to talk about how caregiving plays into our lives and our masculinity. To learn more, watch the full episode on the @WeAreManEnough IGTV⠀

Had a blast hiding out in the back of a car, chatting with 3 of my favorite moms! (1 of which I happen to be married to)
Check out the last episode of @momsincars to see me and @londonelisekress chat about parenting and play a fun game! Head over to their profile to watch the full episode and give em a follow!!
In the past, I’ve fallen victim to silence. Preferring to stay out of it, for fear of inevitably offending someone, or saying the “wrong thing”, somehow… no matter what I say, or what position I take.
But I can’t do it anymore. We witnessed a murder of an unarmed, handcuffed black man caught on tape, at the hands of a person we’re supposed to be able to trust. There’s no way around that. As far as I can tell, there is no “other side of the story”. Not one that justifies such an act of evil.
This is horrific, heartless, senseless, and it can’t go on. I am heartened to hear that the officer was just charged and taken in custody, and I hope and pray that it doesn’t end there. Justice must be swift, and this man needs to serve time.
I hope that this sets us on the path for real change, and that violence and pain do not beget more violence and pain.
Please be kind to each other.

I’ve already seen so many people commenting on these posts and relating to my wife’s (and my) struggle with endometriosis, as well as the struggles of the other men in this series. There are so many of us out there, and we want to hear more from you! Use #CareWithMe to tell us your stories about the men in your life who are stepping up as caregivers to their loved ones. @WeAreManEnough and @CaringAcrossGen want to shine a light on these guys, and show them that they’re in good company.
And check out the full episodes of the Man Enough to Care series on @WeAreManEnough social channels. Can’t wait to see your stories!
To celebrate #NationalCaregiversDay on Friday, Feb. 19, @WeareManEnough partnered with Caring Across Generations [@caringacrossgen], is sharing a special Man Enough To Care series all this week, starting tonight. We want to start conversations about caregiving, whether you’re giving or receiving care, or want to support someone is. Learn more about the cast of this week’s series on @WeAreManEnough IGTV and YouTube. #CareWithME
Excited and honored to participate in @thewanderheartproject’s first Virtual Summit, “Life Unplugged” on June 22nd!! In the midst of this lockdown, we’re undoubtedly on our screens more than ever. We’ll be discussing responsible technology use, and how to find balance in a device-centric world. Click the link in my bio to sign up for FREE!!
It’s our first isolation show! Today we fully ignore April Fools Day (whoops!) and talk about what the kids are up to during the lockdown, how to keep the crippling boredom away, and what we hope for society when we all make it out of this! (it gets pretty deep at the end) Click the link in @idobiradio’s bio to tune in right now!
