Rashida Jones Instagram – Many people have asked how to do the work of identifying systemic racism and how to participate in meaningful change…
There is a primary election coming up in Kentucky this Tuesday, June 23.
What’s happening in Kentucky is a perfect storm of America’s most pressing issues: Breonna Taylor was murdered in Louisville, KY, and STILL there has been no justice. Voter suppression is real — Jefferson County has ONE polling place for 600,000 people. That is not a typo. 1 polling place. For 600k people. *Coincidentally*, this county is where 50 percent of Black Kentuckians live.
Also, Mitch McConnell’s got to go. In his place, we have a chance to elect Charles Booker (@booker4ky) as senator, whose work, politically and on the ground, is in alignment with the change I want to see. Please tell your people about this voting injustice. Spread the word. Donate. Volunteer. This is how we hold those with power accountable. This is how we see real change.
