Elizabeth Warren Instagram – Kate studied public health at public university so she could serve her community and her country. She paid in-state tuition but still ended up with $25,000 in student loan debt. How is that supposed to encourage other people like her to go into public service? #CancelStudentDebt
Elizabeth Warren Instagram – Today is Bruce’s birthday—and a good excuse for me to say quite publicly that I am absolutely, positively, heart-flutteringly in love with him. And while big, sweeping statements are fun, this is also an excuse for me to think about at least one very specific reason that I feel this way.

So here’s this year’s reason: Bruce is a kind and patient teacher. Yes, an excellent—even legendary—teacher for his law students. Yes, a determined (if sometimes ineffective) teacher for Bailey. And yes, he teaches me to have more patience, and, sometimes, to have a lot less.

In the best tradition of great teachers, Bruce carefully teaches our grandson about the joys of coffee. From the time he was a toddler and sat on the kitchen counter to flip the switch for the
bean grinder to his latest efforts to pour the boiling water, Atticus has shared coffee time with Bruce. (Drinking the stuff is only incidental.)

Bruce has carefully encouraged him at each step along the way, turning the ritual into an unspoken, but clear lesson about life: the most important moments of our lives are the quiet ones we spend together.

Happy birthday, Sweetie.
