Situations that would break most people’s spirit and yet they endure and care for us at home while also working toward their own goals and passions or out of just pure survival spirit. If the lockdown has taught me anything, its just how difficult that balance is.
I’ve seen it time and time again and all the women in these photos are symbolic of courage,love,kindness,intelligence,talent and hard work. That’s all together,no simple feat.
I only wish I could somehow have all of them close to me, this year has been so hard for everyone in not being able to be with our loved ones. Those lucky enough to be under the same roof, give your mothers, grandmother’s and your loved one’s a long bear hug! For the rest of us,we’ll have to hope for better days soon.

As part of a project I’m working on, yesterday I went along with Mr.Sridhar of @inspirations_ngo He took me to meet Mr.Gajapathy and his family who cook and distribute food packets to the needy in light of the pandemic.
I also followed the young volunteers of the chennai corporation like @abi_the_thamizhan, Kamlesh in Shenoy Nagar who distributed essentials and provisions in that area.
I met many new people and it was beautiful to finally go out after the lockdown and meet the people who were instrumental in helping their communities. I wanted to share few photos from my day.Will share more soon as it comes together.
