Jacqueline Fernandez Instagram – Everyone has been suffering through the pandemic and it was extremely difficult to run household chores for especially retail shops which couldn’t be open for a long time. In this tough time, a young MBA student of IBS Mumbai – Khyati Henia (@khyati 1930) with her super mom – Rashmi Henia made an attempt to turn her mothers’ hobby of stitching into helping others earn a living. Rashmi Henia provided business to retail shops by buying raw cloth material from them and stitched beautiful handmade cotton masks that were comfortable and reusable which was the need of the hour at really low prices. She also gave masks to the neighborhood, watchmen, friends, relatives, and taxi drivers who re-sell her masks to anyone who needed it. Her handmade masks were also given to the workers of Karasanladhu Jain Trust for their safety. She has stitched more than 3000+ masks until now! She tried to create a win-win situation by fulfilling the NEED of the society of providing masks to everyone in the time of mere shortage and the WANT of the retail shops, taxi drivers, watchmen, etc. to run their daily chores. Jacqueline Fernandez Instagram – Ashish Thakker, Founder & chairperson at ‘Helping Hands for Animals India’. He runs an animal rescue shelter in Dhrangadhra, 100 km from Ahmedabad, Gujarat where he rescued wounded and sick street animals, provides them life-saving treatment and care, and hence the second chance of life. He also provided shelter to animals who can’t go back to their location because of chronic illness or any disabilities or if they are orphans. Those animals live with him at his shelter for their life. He has been involved in animal rescue for 6 years now and has helped nearly 5000 animals so far. But after all this, Ashish felt unable to continue to help so he left his government job last year 2020 in May due to some reasons and devoted himself to work for this cause. Last year in November he purchased some land with his own money to build a shelter for the animals. He has been doing all these activities himself voluntarily with 60% to 65% of his money.
