Jacqueline Fernandez Instagram – Ashish Thakker, Founder & chairperson at ‘Helping Hands for Animals India’. He runs an animal rescue shelter in Dhrangadhra, 100 km from Ahmedabad, Gujarat where he rescued wounded and sick street animals, provides them life-saving treatment and care, and hence the second chance of life. He also provided shelter to animals who can’t go back to their location because of chronic illness or any disabilities or if they are orphans. Those animals live with him at his shelter for their life. He has been involved in animal rescue for 6 years now and has helped nearly 5000 animals so far. But after all this, Ashish felt unable to continue to help so he left his government job last year 2020 in May due to some reasons and devoted himself to work for this cause. Last year in November he purchased some land with his own money to build a shelter for the animals. He has been doing all these activities himself voluntarily with 60% to 65% of his money.
