She told me I had nothing to be proud of because my husband is a ‘Vadyar’ ( he chose academics leaving his 14 years of IT job!) and I have three girls who were not yet settled in life! ( they were in school and according to this person, girls are settled only when they are married😁) I remember aunt @ShyamalaRajagopal trying to guess whether my little girl has come of age or not, by looking at her body shape!!! It was so demeaning and as a mother, I fumed from inside but got all the more determined to make our three girls qualified and educated and thus be empowered and insulated from all the regressive bull shit!!
