Thank you for all the birthday wishes. Thinking back over the past year…. I am struck by a deep feeling of gratitude. For my health. For the people I have shared this year with. My family. Matthew. The unforgettable cast and crew of #Foundation For ALL of the individuals, in my country, and abroad who have risen to the challenge of this pandemic. The health care workers, the teachers, the food delivery folks, grocery workers, postal workers…. everywhere I look, I see reasons to be grateful. 🥭
Howdy from the Pie-Hole. Bryan sent me this BTS BS. (His words.) I wanted to share. @bryanfullergram It makes me happy that so many of you are rediscovering it now via @HBOMax. #PushingDaisies

Parashi walking in the Chyulu Hills, Kenya. 2021. I first met Parashi in June of 2016 when I visited the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust with @conservationorg. We went on to run the NYC marathon with the @mwct_kenya team that fall. It was a gift to return to these Hills earlier this year…. Mt Kilimanjaro still looming on a clear day. Giraffe and Whistling acacias. Fresh elephant tracks… Together with key partners in the landscape, @ConservationOrg is working to restore tens of thousands of hectares of Chyulu Hills savannah woodland and grassland by 2025. I’m proud to support this incredible organization and their work because restoring natural landscapes is one of the only cost-effective and immediately available ways of removing climate-warming carbon from the atmosphere at scale.

Cloud Forest, 2021 It’s earth day. A good day to think about trees. Trees remove carbon from our atmosphere and store it in their roots and branches. By planting trees and protecting the ones we’ve got; we work with the best carbon sequestration tools available to us. Link in Bio. Check out all the projects CI @conservationorg is engaged in around the globe and find out how you can get involved. 🌍🌳🐘🌞🌊🛰🏔🦩 #EarthDay
