Abbie Cornish Instagram – For a week now I have thought about this post. Are my words enough? They are. Is my presence enough? It is. My heart is ablaze with you LA. With you America. With you world. And with you God. I pray for justice. I pray for healing. I never want to have to explain to my future children that this is a problem in the present. I want to explain history. I want this to be history. Because I truly believe it should be. For years and years and years now we’ve been trying, but God I pray now that our voices are heard. Black lives matter. And yes, of course all lives matter. We know that. But this is specific. To know our remedy we need to know our problem. The problem IS the remedy. To my friends, my loved ones, to the man or woman on the street… I am sorry for all the pain, the heartache and the loss you, your friends, your family, and your ancestors have experienced. I choose change. I am with you. And I pray that we, together, will come to a place in which we are all treated equally and respected as humans. I pray for peace. We have a long road ahead of us this year here in America. And also, collectively in the world. Let’s make it count. Everyone please continue to speak and be present. Stay calm and stay safe.
