This photo is from the 3rd night in Australia on the support gig I did with @nas. I felt a feeling as I was walking back to the dressing room. Later… On the last night of the tour in Adelaide I was lying on the floor of our dressing room listening to music before we played. I fell asleep and when I woke up Butch and Mugs told me that the whole time I was napping I had a smile on my face from ear to ear. And that was happiness. Inside and out.

For a week now I have thought about this post. Are my words enough? They are. Is my presence enough? It is. My heart is ablaze with you LA. With you America. With you world. And with you God. I pray for justice. I pray for healing. I never want to have to explain to my future children that this is a problem in the present. I want to explain history. I want this to be history. Because I truly believe it should be. For years and years and years now we’ve been trying, but God I pray now that our voices are heard. Black lives matter. And yes, of course all lives matter. We know that. But this is specific. To know our remedy we need to know our problem. The problem IS the remedy. To my friends, my loved ones, to the man or woman on the street… I am sorry for all the pain, the heartache and the loss you, your friends, your family, and your ancestors have experienced. I choose change. I am with you. And I pray that we, together, will come to a place in which we are all treated equally and respected as humans. I pray for peace. We have a long road ahead of us this year here in America. And also, collectively in the world. Let’s make it count. Everyone please continue to speak and be present. Stay calm and stay safe. Together we can! #BLM #BlackLivesMatter
