Shenaz Treasurywala Instagram – What brings you MENTAL PEACE?

Doing Yoga by the River Ganga in Rishikesh that is for sure the most peaceful and beautiful experience I’ve had.

Today is World Yoga Day. Let’s celebrate by noting down all the things that bring us peace ☮️
For me:
YOGA
NATURE
TREES
OCEAN
SUNLIGHT
SUNSETS
VISITING THE FIRE TEMPLE
JOURNALING
READING A GOOD BOOK
MY NEPHEW
LAUGHING W MY MOM ( when she’s not worrying about me getting married 😂)
CHILLING W DAD ( when he’s not on me to learn finance. 😂)
Hahahaaa
These are some of the few things that bring me peace ❣️

Here’s a beautiful love story of a Man from South India and a woman from the North East and how their love led to the discovery of the Natural Root Bridges of Meghalaya.

These bridges are completely natural. They are formed by living roots of trees by tree shaping. They take 15-20 years to build.

Most of Meghalaya’s many living root bridges are located near Cherrapunjee

The bridges were discovered by Denis Rayen, who, along with his wife, Carmela, started the Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort.

Dennis Rayen is as much in love with about the Cherrapunjee area as he is with his wife and he put the living root bridges on the map as tourist sights. These bridges are now world famous because of this.

Dennis told me-
Ordinary bridges would rot under the the heavy rain of Cherrapunjee, but the living root bridges just get stronger as they get older.
