Brittany Panzer Instagram – I’ve always struggled with how comfortable or not I am being “sexy” on my social media, so let’s talk about that. Unwanted sexual attention is something that every woman has dealt with, and that’s a fact. It’s like we can’t exist without men thinking we’re doing everything and anything for them, which is so far from the truth. I got boobs really early, so I was sexualized from an early age. And it’s a weird thing growing up as a girl… for some reason, though it’s getting better, our society associates a woman’s physique with being slutty and vapid, as if those have any correlation. So sometimes, when I take pictures in a bikini, I’ll go to post something I like and then decide not to, because I don’t want people to not take me seriously, which really makes no sense if you think about it. I shouldn’t be shamed for literally existing in the body I was born into, and I shouldn’t feel the need to hide it out of fear of not being taken seriously. Since when did having boobs and curves mean that I’m a bimbo? Or that my opinions aren’t valid? Or that I’m not smarter than any motherfucker in any given room that I walk into? (Lol) There’s something in our society that tells us that women can’t be both sexy and smart, though the two aren’t mutually exclusive by any means.
