#ThrowbackThursday to the first studio film I produced and starred in . “Home Sweet Hell” took me 5 years to get it made . Three or four times independent financing fell through , Actors attached then schedule conflicts . Set back after set back . Over 100g of my own money spent that I would never see again and I desperately needed We then set it up at SONY , filmed in Louisiana And the movie didn’t make any money… totally bomb at the box office lol ! 🤷🏼♂️ I did learned the most Invaluable lesson of my career right then …… “ Put 100% in to what you CAN control. Nobody is going to make that phone ring but YOU ! It’s Fucking none stop HUSSEL , all day everyday , cuz your Irrelevant on your rest day.” Get up and get after it ! LET GO!

I have So many Insanely amazing memories from this film. At the time I was rubbing three or four pennies together. One of my oldest and dearest friends @jeff_hurkett was flying in from canada to hang out for the weekend. On the way to the airport to pick him up , I got a last-minute audition for the monologue that you’re watching. My rep told me “it had to be on tape that day by end of day.” Driving home from the airport , I asked jeff to read the lines with me …. everything clicked When the writing is that good it’s so easy to memorize. It ended up changing a lot of things in my life at the time It was … The first time I went to Sundance , First time I did press on film . First time that an actor or people I looked up to said they loved a movie I was in. The last time I saw a movie in My favorite movie theater that is no longer there “Laemmle sunset 5 “on sunset and laurel . It’s amazing when u think about what could have happened… if I went right instead of left .
