Cecily Strong Instagram – I put on a whole face of makeup and curled my hair for what I then realized was just a phone interview. Needless to say, I was a little bit gobbleegooblee in the membraine to get to speak to one half of the Lunts from Blaine ❤️ Thank you to Dave Itzkoff for somehow editing all my excited giggles into words. (I normally would have made this a story, but I thought I haven’t been posting much and this would be a thing that felt pretty durn good to see when I come here)

Cecily Strong Instagram – There are so many things to say about last night and I’m exhausted from MYOWNEMOTIONS(!!!) so just know I miss that wonderful cast and crew with all of my heart to the point that watching them on tv and not in real life made me laugh and sob and smile and then fall asleep hard. And I am so glad Punkie, Lauren, and Andrew (even though he’s been there absolutely killing it as a writer) get to join this really wonderful family. Welcome!
Ok, now here is something else important I want to say, and it also explains why I love my snl crew. The last two intros I got to have Lucy with me, as shes such a part of my life. Covid rules made it so she couldn’t come be in this one, which was a real bummer for me. I asked our AMAZING head of wardrobe Tom(slash producer slash smoke and mirrors expert slash fairy godmother) if there was a way to incorporate her into my intros. He got back to me immediately and said “let me think”. It was Tuesday I think? On Wednesday night he asked for a picture of Lucy. I turned to my side (where my shadow dog can usually be found) and took a photo and sent to Tom. When I arrived the next day, Thursday, for my intros shoot at 30 Rock, he handed me a little blue box and inside was the most special necklace. They found a way to keep Lucy in my intros. And that’s just one reason out of a million these people are my favorite. (And thank you @joewhitmeyer @jodimancusohairdesign @eeags and Tom for sending me a perfect Kimberly look and @doylebird and @caroline.maroney for making it happen so I could still feel like I was a part of this show that is my home no matter where I am. And there’s nothing like walking into a room of strangers wearing big fake titties and then screaming for 20 minutes)
