Mike Theiss Instagram – (On assignment with @LindbladExp) We have arrived to the western Falkland islands and immediately had a close encounter with a leopard seal relaxing on the beach. The leopard seal, also referred to as the sea leopard, is the second largest species of seal in the Antarctic as well as the second largest predator next to the Killer Whale. We will spend a few more days in the Falkland islands before we set sail for a three day open water journey to the South Georgia and South Sandwich islands.
