Used to take the 5 am train to Bucharest on Fridays. Door seat I liked because it kept me dry. Window seat, I’d either get rained or snowed on. The furthest seat from the window was front row to your occasional stabbing or jerk off. Middle seat, my head bob would stop on a shoulder that wasn’t mine and that I didn’t like waking up to. Whichever seat I was in, bag was wrapped around my wrist 3, 4 times. I sat on it just to be safe. Now, there’s AC, the window cracks are no more, and no one is treating their body like it’s an amusement park 5 inches away from you.
