Karthik Kumar Instagram – I have never been my ideal weight. Even when I was at my ideal weight, I certainly didn’t think so. A wedding pending and the inhibition was that I may feel ‘uncomfortable’ and ‘ungainly’ on my special day. The pressure was on… draining out the pleasure of the prep. Diet plans. Exercise regimes. Random advise. Snide well meaning jibes from ‘friends’. None of it helped : surprise surprise! What helped? To be seen by the bride for who I am. Coz even in the weight correction panic I mostly forgot who I was ‘without my weight issue’. My person saw me for who I am and that kinda reminded me that – wait a minute – I am that person she is seeing and experiencing for real- and then I saw it. Thank you @amruthasrini I didn’t feel heavy nor light at my wedding. I felt like me.
