My midwife @lamidwifeabby checking baby’s heartbeat during contractions. This was roughly 15ish hours into labor. Did anyone else leak colostrum with every contraction? We eventually had to transfer to the hospital but I look back so fondly on laboring at home. Even though my homebirth didn’t fully pan out, I’m still grateful I tried. It was amazing to be in my own space with my husband, dog, and birth team. My labor was peaceful. My face looked like this most contractions. I spent a lot of time on the birth ball, laying on the bed, in the shower or on the toilet. I ate real food. I was massaged by my doula @ccmeyer and my husband. I walked out to my back yard and let the sun warm my skin. I felt so loved and cared for. 6 months out and already dreaming of trying for a VBAC water birth “ 📸 by @ccmeyer
