Sonali Bendre Instagram – The next book for SBC was recommended by my dear friend, global icon and now fellow author, @priyankachopra, and if you tuned in to our recent conversation, you’d be able to guess which one it is! It is a debut historical fiction novel by Ghanaian-American author Yaa Gyasi, and is about two sisters with very different destinies. It’s a commentary on family, the slave trade, and what it means to be a black woman in America today, and I can’t wait to begin reading it.
