Evelyn Edwards Instagram – As a girl who grew up in Las Vegas, it is always amazing to me you be near a structure that is almost 900 years old. It’s even more fun for me to imagine all the people and activities that happened there. This tower is the Keep of Skenfrith Castle. Dirt would have been piled up around this round tower and there would have been a wooded staircase outside of the building. The basement would only have been accessed through a trap door. You might notice the larger window holes at the top. This is where the lord would have lived, on the second floor. The chambers would have had a fireplace and it’s own private latrine. FANCY! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🏰 .
