Stacey Farber Instagram – I worked one-on-one with Daphne this summer when a health thing required me to eat very clean and be sober for a stretch of time. I wanted to take better care of my body in advance of the procedure and in recovery but also—possibly, if I were capable—in my normal, daily life. I didn’t know where to start. My sugar addiction? My automatic responses to stress? She gave me the education I needed on nutrition, healthful cooking, and physiology. She shared her wisdom and resources eagerly. There were many books, podcasts, green juices, in-season vegetables, and liters of water consumed along on the way, but the most important thing I learned from Daphne is the value of a simple, self-imposed routine. And this, too: consistency.
A sense of order felt strange at first because the seemingly little decisions I used to make throughout each day were more spontaneous than habitual—and more indulgent. Life is an adventure, and I always crave novelty, but with Daphne’s framework (and her encouraging voice in my head at the grocery store), I now have a more grounded, wholesome baseline. It’s a foundation that I’ve come to enjoy, knowing I can take it anywhere, return to it in chaos, and adjust it so that it continues to work for me as I grow.
Today, she launches her subscription service for $12 a month. I’ve budgeted to cut some apps and sign up for her feed instead because her work energizes me. It challenges me, in a great way, to approach self-love with forethought and to think longer term. For healing practices and preventative healthcare, Daphne’s the real deal, so if you want a discerning, trustworthy, and impassioned guide to vitality as we head into another sluggish winter, try @doingwell. 🙌🏻💫🌱 | Posted on 20/Oct/2021 22:05:49
