Fiann Smithwick Instagram – A pan across one of my best ichthyosaur fossils from the Jurassic Coast. I found this beastie a few years ago in a near-complete state of preservation.

It’s preserved in an unusual fashion for these fossils – on its belly. Usually they’re lying on their side. This one shows the four paddles (limbs) splayed out to the side, making it clear that they’re tetrapods.
