Fiann Smithwick Instagram – Here’s the ichthyosaur I posted a video of yesterday but with me for scale! This ichthyosaur was a juvenile when it died – it had only reached about half the size of a fully grown adult.

I’ve found several complete juveniles of this species, but I’ve only ever found one fully grown adult. That one is still in the process of being prepped but will be about 6 feet long when finished.
