Erin Cummings Instagram – Think this is scary? Not as scary as facing a life or death situation where every minute counts and not knowing CPR.
My mom, a retired RN, encouraged Tom and me to take a pediatric CPR class this week. Thankfully @PumpStation in Santa Monica was offering classes with the Program Director of SaveALittleLife.com, Richard Pass, RN.
While some of the stats scared the bejezuz out of me, knowing how to perform CPR safely on an infant, child and adult as well as the Heimlich Maneuver and how to identify possible safety issues in advance left both of us feeling a bit more empowered in the case of our child choking, drowning, etc.
We plan to take the course annually, every January, and we hope that you’ll join us by finding a CPR workshop near you. Visit SaveALittleLife.com or @PumpStation and ask about online classes if you don’t feel safe attending in person right now.
Of course, we hope that we never have to use this training on anyone in our lives. But if we do, we know we’ll have this knowledge in our back pocket to guide the way.
