We continue to learn more about this great woman and her powerful story.
Yesterday I reached out to a friend who has been working on a new film inspired by the Great Ashanti warrior Queen Mother of Ejisu who led men to fight British colonisers to defend the Golden Stool and the Asante Empire in the 1900s.
A film inspired by Yaa Asantewaa has been in the works for 3 years, and one I am proud to be a part of. Coming soon.
