I only met Pac once at SONY studios , he was filming Poetic Justice right across from our stage. He and i came THIS close to playing a game of one on one hoops 😖 but I got called in for rehearsal. Damn that’s a memory I wish I could have completed. So you can imagine my surprise when my guy hit me up and said, “Dude, Tupac mentioned you in one of his journals 📝 .” The best part of his mention is how Pac started to write “Urkel” then crossed out the character name and wrote Jaleel White. He innately understood on a deeper level than I did back then , as artists we are humans first with real family ties and an obligation to affect change. We weren’t celebrities when he pulled up and asked me to pass him the ball 🏀 It wasn’t some cheeseball moment for content.
