J. Harrison Ghee Instagram – #internationaldanceday Believe it or not, I didn’t take my first proper dance class until I moved to NYC at the age of 18. However, I’ve been moving and grooving for as long as I can remember. When I hear music, my body has got to move. As a professional, I often struggled to own being a dancer because I felt I lacked the technique to claim being a dancer, but time and time again I’ve been given opportunities to show my moves. Playing Velma Kelly @themuny was one of those moments I got to show myself I’m more than capable of rising to the occasion and using the gifts God has given me. don’t know what my life would be without dancing and I hope to keep dancing for as long as this body will let me.
