They are telling you how there mind perceives you; which is full of their own conditioning & insecurities. I myself have fallen into this judgement of others. Where others have made me feel small, guilty & totally worthless because I haven’t matched up to their expectations. And when I say that, I know how I have let myself down by allowing another person to effect my self worth. This wasn’t always me! I have always been a person who atleast knows, what she is in the becoming aspect of it. But then Life happens. Unknowingly you’ll find yourself falling into older patterns. Repeating the same cycles of expectations & attachments to those expectations. When you’re most vulnerable, you’ll find yourself losing your own confidence and find meaning in others words. Yes, I have disrespected my SELF by giving power to another to tell me how bad a sister, a daughter or a friend I have been. But there is one thing I have learnt after picking up the broken pieces of my self-worth, that it is me who is responsible. Not them, it’s me who has betrayed the SELF by believing them. There will always be people who’ll have a problem with how you think, speak or act. There will always be people who wouldn’t agree with your opinions but attack you with theirs. There’ll always be people who would guilt you for not being there for them or rather not playing the "role" they had assigned for you in their lives. There’ll always be people who’ll tell you on your face how you are ( not meeting their criteria of a good person ) and how they know you so well. There’ll always be people. But people are people. Just that! When they are done with you, they’ll find someone else to put their insecurities on. The day you stop getting attached to what people (I mean your closest people) think of you, the day you gain your power back. Never let any single person ever tell you who you are. It is their version of you. You and only you decide who you are or who you are becoming. And believe me you’ll always want to be your own version of your unique SELF😀

Aparnaa Bajpai Instagram – If someone tells you about you; they are talking about themselves.
Specially, when someone specifically points out your words or actions; they are directly talking about their triggers. They are talking about their own lack & need which they are unknowingly trying to fulfill through you.
And this goes vice-versa:)
Look within, what is it in your body that you felt through someone else’s behavior?
What need arises instantly?
Did you feel unheard, unappreciated, hurt, ridiculed, shamed, bullied, taken granted for, unloved, judged, misunderstood etc etc.
And then notice how every slight-uncomfortable external situation shakes your internal peace.
Is it them through whom, you’re trying to fill that void within you.
Offcourse, there is no harm in safe expression of your emotions. But then it should be a safe expression and not a projection.
One can express the deeper emotions only after becoming aware of the presence of that particular emotion(or need) within himself.
Only when you acknowledge your own emotions, you become available to your own self, your own needs.
And when you start being available to your own needs, you’ll slowly stop looking outside to fulfill that for you🙏🏼
