I honestly can’t believe this is a struggle we have been fighting during 50 years…
He you ever felt the walls are closing in? Anxiety can be a matter of circumstance, but definitely options will always come when we change perspective. You know? Thinking that how we feel is due to “something outside of us”, be it someone hurting us or “life just kicking us in the ass” — seeing the problem outside of us just makes us give that “thing” our power. Truly you have the power to make things different; the first step is changing perspective. Feel your breath. Take a second and feel what’s around you: look at the colors around you, name them. Feel your clothes or whatever you can touch. Now feel your breath again, feel it deepen like roots into your legs and through the ground. Put music that you love. They’re like fairies that taunt you to follow them, evaporating in plain sight and reappearing in a foreign word, unveiling how languages, as distant as they may seem, share familiar roots. Words time travel; they unlock our unconscious and give us tools to understand where we come from and what we need… Or sometimes words that sound the same are completely opposed in meaning, as if they lovk a secret war between countries… but if you look closely, they will always take you to a deeper truth, one that dissipates animosity and unites with one voice: we are human.
