The photographer was Minal Mehta. I received tremendous backlash for it from many organisations political and religious both, my sexuality was openly questioned and character ridiculed the harsh criticism and jokes from many colleagues were also disheartening and the threats unnerving for this was the time few years ago when being LGBTQIA in India was a criminal offence and supporting them a mental disorder.
