Hannah Fry Instagram – One of the BBC big cheeses sent me a message last night about the film, and managed to hit the nail on the head of what we’ve been trying so hard to make. He said it isn’t a cookie cutter ‘celebrity sickness’ show, but a doc that has something much more interesting and unusual to say.
A big part of the reason for that are the incredible people who allowed us to include their stories. There’s the inspirational Nina – full of courage and determination. There’s the wonderful Anne – who let us in during what must have been some of her darkest moments. And there’s the remarkable Rob – someone who profoundly changed my view of what matters in life. You’ll see why when you watch it.
I hope the result is a doc that dares to ask genuinely difficult questions while holding on to a strong emotional core.
