I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am for our film @nuevorico we worked so hard to put this little baby together and she’s off now and we won’t be able to stop her. I believed in this film when it was an idea and in black and white pictures. I just remember being blown away by it and I knew I had to be apart of the future in cinema. This film represents not only the future for latin x futurism decolonization of cinema told by us but it represents our imagination, our hopes, our big ideas, possibilities, our connection to our people, our history, our heartbeat which is the rythym of the latin beat. I get to show my little sister that it is possible to have vision that’s colorful, big, unpredictable, unexpected and that she should never be afraid to speak up. I’m so thankful for our incredible team that keeps surprising us with their talent. We were lucky to combine our latin x power and create something that’s never be seen or heard of before. Thank you @sxsw for seeing us and letting the world be part of our journey. Thank you @krismerc for believing in my voice. Barbie is my angel and she’s here to stay.
